I found this beauty at the first auction I attended. It was being used to display all the "goodies" that were being auctioned off so it went unnoticed until the end of the auction. Everyone had pretty much cleared out since they figured everything worth buying was already sold. This is the best purchase I have made to date...I bought this table for $7.50!! I was so excited.
It sat in my garage for quite a while since the weather does not seem to cooperate with me here. Once we had a few warmer days with less than hurricane force winds I got to work.
Isn't it beautiful!! I am so happy with it.It only seats four so I don't know how long it will last in my dining area but in the meantime I am in LoVe. I am scouring the internet, garage sales and actions for four tall back chairs to go with it and a round rug. Oh... I can't wait!!

This magazine rack was one of those things I bought just because I wanted something quick and easy to do. I really had no place in mind for it when I saw it.
It's screaming 1980s and man is it ever GOLD!
It was priced at $4.
I didn't want it that bad.
I asked the lady if it could be discounted and she marked it down to $2. Now we're talking.
Once I got it home I gave it a coat of cream spray paint and it turned into this...
It now sits next to our reading chair and holds our library books. That way they are all in one spot and handy to gather up.

I have been on the lookout for a bedside table for my guest room. I wanted a round one and had seen one at Target that I LoVeD but it was close to $100 and I really didn't want to spend that much. I found this beauty on a trip to the DI. It was $7.00. Can you see the potential?
I altered it a little by removing the 1970s decorative fencing stuff and did the usual sanding and painting with some more sanding to "rough it up". I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I have been looking for a small wind up clock to put next to the lamp but have had no luck in that hunt as of yet.
The lamp was a "free with purchase" gift from ULTA from years ago that has never been used. It came in a set of two and had a gold base. I spray painted it cream and luckily the shade came as cute as it is. Feathers and all.
I inherited the old books, they are always fun to decorate with.
For around $10 my overnight guests will now have the luxury of a nightstand. :)!
